GARY RUSCHMAN has participated in numerous performances throughout the Bay Area including:

  • The Count Ory, Die Fledermaus and The Crucible (Conservatory Opera Theater)

  • Atalanta, Two Widows, and Orpheus in the Underworld (Pocket Opera)
  • The Gift of the Magi (San Francisco Conservatory)
  • La Boheme and Elixir of Love (San Francisco Opera Guild)
  • Albert Herring (San Francisco Opera Center)
  • The Gondoliers (Lamplighters), and
  • Wuornos (workshop, 1999).
A Kentucky native, Ruschman concentrates on early and baroque music, Mozart, Rossini, new music, and jazz. He appears regularly with American Bach Soloists, Music Theatre Collective, and as a soloist with area choral organizations. His theatrical recordings include Rapunzel (Original Cast Recording, Pioneer Theater Services), Peer Gynt (San Francisco Cast Recording, The Plush Room).
Ruschman, a tenor, received a Master of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Bachelor of Music from Northern Kentucky University.
